How to Use WhatsApp on Your Laptop or Desktop Computer
Many people have been searching about how to download WhatsApp on Computer/Laptop and finally a simple procedure is written below for installing Whatsapp on your Windows Os and Mac Os of your Pc/Laptop.
WhatsApp is the most famous mobile messenger app of having amazing features like text messages, voice messages, images, videos, smileys, file sharings etc.

Earlier, WhatsApp was officially released for only Smartphones of Android, BlackBerry OS, Apple iOS, Symbian, Windows Phone etc but not for Computer/Laptop. But later in 2015, for Computer/Laptop, WhatsApp has released a feature called ‘WhatsApp Web‘ which we use on browser and later on May 11, 2016, for same Computer/Laptop, Whatsapp has officially released the desktop app (messenger)!
Once opened, the desktop program and web client will show a large QR Code.
- Open your Desktop/Laptop Chrome Browser
- Type on the Address bar https://web.whatsapp.com/
- Open WhatsApp from your phone.
- Navigate to Settings > WhatsApp Web/Desktop.
- Scroll down and choose Scan QR Code.
- Hold your phone up to the computer screen to scan the QR code. It will do everything automatically; you just have to point the camera in that direction.
- The WhatsApp client will open immediately, and show you any messages you already have on your phone. You can now close down the WhatsApp app on your phone and use it from your computer.
Now let me tell you how you can do it Practically.
- Open this URL in your Laptop /PC browser WhatsApp
- Now there will be bar code as shown below which you need to scan from whatsapp smartphone app.
- Now open whatsapp on your smartphone and select whatsapp Web
- Finally scan the Barcode and voila, the whatsapp will be running on your browser :)
